Bonita Springs sits in southern Lee County, directly north of the Collier County line, with the Imperial River running through it toward the Gulf. It incorporated as a city in 1999. Beaches on the barrier island sit just west, across the bay.

Bonita Springs combines beaches, nature, the Imperial River, residential communities and a central location within Southwest Florida. Its market includes single-family homes, condominiums, golf communities, waterfront properties and new developments.
The transformation of Downtown, the improvements around Old 41 and projects such as Midtown at Bonita reflect its next stage. Midtown brings housing, restaurants, retail, services and a hotel into a new mixed-use setting, while growth toward the east widens the city's residential and commercial footprint.
Bonita Springs keeps its coastal identity while building a new connection between housing, commerce and everyday life.

Daily life
It works as a middle point: Naples to the south, Fort Myers to the north, both within an ordinary drive. The beach is close enough to be part of a normal week, and much of the housing is a mix of established neighborhoods, golf communities and newer development.
